I was planning on getting beat up, but every single person crashed so there was no time.

Jesus crashes everywhere. Avoided a bunch, had one happen in front of me and saw another about 3 cars away. Shit was gnarly man. People were stuffing it big time tonight

Joe broke his hip in two places next to major arteries. He was transfered to Davis to have surgery.

Last night sucked.

Yeah last night was rough. All of our cars took a solid beating. Feel bad for Joe too. An injury like that will fuck your life up for a bit.

Probably forever, honestly.

Not to say he wont be back driving, im sure he will. But its gonna hurt to get out of bed every day for the rest if his life.

Looked like you escaped relatively unscathed Julian, it could have been way worse but you guys scooted off before the wrecking ball came in.

MacDregali's and Travis' cars looked like they took a beating.

I don’t make it to Sonoma much, I have maybe been there 2-3 times since it started, so I hate to make a quick conclusion, but I don’t know why anyone would subject themselves to the “open tandem” run group.
Maybe in theory it sounded like a win-win, as the drivers get lots of runs, and it takes minimal effort from the track, but from my perspective last night, it looked like a group of 2-year olds sugar high kids running in a playground.
A complete free for all, with people from all different skill levels.

From what I have heard both of the drivers in the major crash are “FD” level drivers, and it shows that mistakes just happen in automotive racing
Just from my impression, these “open tandem” groups need to be limited to smaller and similar driving groups. When you have 10+ cars going at once, there is no way a small spin out won’t result in a crash.
I hate to think that someone is potentially injured for life, from a parking lot event in front of a bunch of twitter finger, snapchatting groupies, looking for the ‘next best post’ to skyrocket themselves on the social media sphere.
In anycase, it was fun checking out all the cars and familiar faces.

LS powered former pro-am car with SLR knuckles and a supposed 600WHP.

Was factory burgandy 3 events ago.

Was flat black 2 events ago.

Was every color of the rainbow 1 event ago.
